Does Infection In The Tube Affect Fetus?

I went to the ER with pain in my abdomin and lower back and I found out that I have a infection in my left tube. It is swollen and has fluid on it. I also have a syst on my right overy. And I am 6 weeks pregant. I have no idea what kind of syst it is I have never had one before. I am wondering what I should do. Will the fluid on my tube go away with the antibotics? Will the baby be affected by the infection? Also the baby heart beat was low in the 90's could that be due to the infection?

Hello,
Inflammation in the tube does not affect pregnancy, once it is implanted in the uterus. Yet, the cause should be attended to immediately as further damage can be prevented. Medication should be cautiously prescribed as you are in the organogenesis stage of your pregnancy. Cysts observed during pregnancy are mostly corpus luteal and are not to be worried about. Follow up sonograms usually show regression as the pregnancy advances and the placenta takes over the hormone function. Heart beat rhythm is more important at this stage and not the rate. Hope this helps.
