Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Anyone else report inordinate dizziness leading to fainting? Experienced three very bad boughts of physical disorientation and lack of muscle control, and then one leading to my legs going out, temporary loss of consciousness and a fall that resulted in a laceration to my head. Two weeks after stopping, NO dizziness or compromised balance. I m talking Norco here. 5-325mg. Never abused or even meeting the OK dosage. I am 59, in good health. I did take these for three months while we diddled around before electing hip replacement surgery. I will never go near this stuff again!
Dizziness could be caused due to abnormal blood pressure, blood sugar or nutritional deficiency, inner ear disorders affecting body balance and rarely neurological disorders. I would suggest you to check your BP, blood glucose and complete blood counts to rule out anemia or other abnormalities. ECG, audiogram, X-ray neck and CT brain may be required if above tests are normal.Any episodes of stroke or hemorrhage should be ruled out.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
