Does Intake Of Amlodipine Besylate Cause Extreme Fatigue?

I have just started taking amlodipine besylate 2.5 mg. Is it coincidental that I get terribly fatigued by afternoon? I have a busy life as a caretaker; and sometimes get tired by afternoon. It just seems to be extreme now. Could this medication cause extreme fatigue:

Amlodipine does have a tendency to cause fatigue in few individuals. Have you been precribed amlodipine for hypertension. Are you on any other medication? Because there are certain other medication that also cause fatigue and given along with amlodipine it could be worse.

What is the dose of amlodipine and how long you have been taking? The best way to confirm if amlodipine is truly causing fatigue is to reduce the dose of amlodipine or stop it to see if the fatigue reverses. However this should be done under the supervision of your treating physician.
