Does Intake Of Concerta Cause Extreme Acne Breakouts?
I have been taking Concerta 57mg for almost 3 months now. I have had a ton of acne breakouts since then and it continues to get worse. I've had acne before, but never like this. I have acne that just doesn't seem to ever go away and some that have left scars. Is it linked to the Concerta? What should I do?
As per your query pimple breakout is getting worse after tasking medicine concerta . Well concerta is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Sometimes it is known to produce skin rashes , hives and other skin problems as its side effect . I would suggest you to consult your doctor ( neurologist ) and discuss the condition with him/her . Doctor may alter the dose and prescribe substitute . For now wash your face with cold water and facewash containing benzoyl peroxide then apply cream containing azelaic acid twice a day . Also apply cold compresses on affected area .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
