Does Intake Of Cyclopam And Levofloxacin Help The Fibroid To Shrink?

CAN THE MEDICINE I.E CYCLOPAM - P PLUS LEVOFLOXANCIN MAKE FIBROID DISAPPEAR OR SHRINK AM 48 YRS AND HAD A BOWEL PRESSURE AND PAIN IN THE STOMACH.. 13 YEARS AGO I WAS DIAGONISED TO HAVE FIBROID WHICH 1.1CM.. WAS ADVICED THEY SHRINK WITH AGE. STILL RECEIVE MY PERION NORMALLY THOUGH HEAVY FOR THE 2ND AND THIRD DAY.

1. No fibroid is a structural pathology whereas the said drugs are given only as symptomatic treatment ( pain abdomen in your case)

2. To be sure of prognosis of fibroid get an opinion of Gynecologist who might ask for Biopsy which will help her to give you the best possible management, i.e. if it comes out to be benign then medical management and if malignant then surgical treatment.

3. The treatment varies according to age (46 in you) hopefully menopause is late, even then check with:

. P.V. examination and USG to rule out abnormalities of uterus
..Hb, WBV,Bleeding disorder profile, Serum T3, T4 & TSH
. If there is no relief, one may go for endometrial curettage (& biopsy) followed by hormone therapy
. If bleeding persists after curettage, advise Hysterectomy
