Does Intake Of Desmopressin Cause A Drop In Sodium Levels?

I have been taking desmopressin since 1982 for diabetes-insidus. I was in the hospital for low sodium. The doctors were concerned that taking that would bring my sodium level down. Could this be a problem. I have lost over 50lbs but I did t change my dosage. I thought this may have caused the low sodium. Could this be true,

Desmopressin does cause low levels of sodium. If you are having symptoms related to it, you must consult a local doctor as it may be sometimes life-threatening too.
