Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Duphaston 10mg tablet contains 'dydrogesterone', which is a synthetic progesterone.
It is used to treat a variety of conditions resulting from a lack of naturally produced progesterone.
It is administered to treat several conditions of menstrual disorders like
1. secondary amenorrhoea - menstrual periods that have stopped, are absent or irregular
2. dysmenorrhoea or painful periods
3. premenstrual syndrome and
4. abnormal uterine bleeding, which occurs during the menstrual cycle instead of at the end.
It is also used to treat spontaneous abortion (miscarriage). Hence, you need not worry even if you are pregnant. Kindly take the medications and do the follow-up as advised.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
