Does Intake Of Fluvoxamine Help In Curing Depression?

I recently started fluvoxamine for OCD. I was taken off Prozac. Will fluvoxamine help with my depression as well ? I was looking at the side effects. I use valium at bedtime along with trazadone. How will fluvoxamine affect me with taking those meds to help me sleep Have been waking up quite a few times during the night. Go to sleep ok but wake up several times during the night.

Hi,

Fluvaxamine is a very effective anti-depressant so yes it probably would help your depression as well, may be much better then Prozac because of its dual action. I hope this may also help you sleep once your depression is treated. You can use your sleep pill (Valium) with care.

Try not to use that more then 6 weeks as there are chances of addiction. You better apply the sleep hygiene for better sleep that is no sleep in day time, fixed time and place for sleep, avoid lights and use of alcohol smoking, coffee, tea or excessive use of mobile or laptop in the night.
