Does Intake Of I Pill Post Sex Cause Light Bleeding?
Hi, so I had sex on the 15th which was a bout 2 weeks before my period should be but I am usually irregular. and he wore a condom and it didn't break but I was paranoid so I took the morning after pill, next step & now it is a week later and I just started to have some light bleeding. I read about spotting & got worried so I took a pregnancy test & it was negative so is this bleeding my period or is it a side effect from the pill or am I pregnant??

Yes intake of I pill post sex cause light bleeding & must be breakthrough bleeding. This type of bleeding normally occurs within 3 weeks of intake of a I pill or emergency contraceptive pill. This most probably means that Ipill has been successful in preventing pregnancy.
Actually I pill contains high dose of levonorgestrol hormone, which disrupts your normal menstruation cycle & causes this bleeding. There is nothing much to be concerned about it. You could also have your next period delayed.
Don't use I pill too frequently. Use condom or regular contraceptive pill as method of contraception in future. Regular taking emergency contraceptive pills can cause problems like irregular periods, ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome & even infertility.
