Does Intake Of Phentermine Cause Detection Of Methamphetamine In Drug Test?

I failed a urine drug test for methamphetamine and the only thing I can think of is because I take phentermine for weight loss and have been for a long time. Would that make me fail and show up like that? I assure you I don t do meth never have and never will. Please give me some answers because I am very upset.

Hi,

Yes, phentermine would cause a false-positive result for methamphetamines, you would need to speak to your doctor to let him or her know that you are on phentermine. There are more accurate tests that can be done to distinguish the two.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
