General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Provera contains medroxyprogesterone.
It is a progestin hormone. It works by altering the lining of the uterus.
It is used for treating certain menstrual disorders like abnormal bleeding and lack of menstrual period.
It could help to improve chances of fertility by regularizing the menstrual periods. Once this is happens, ovulation must take place at proper time, which would determine the chances to become pregnant.
Along with timely ovulation and regular periods, it is essential to have patency of Fallopian tubes, normal uterus & endometrium and normal semen pattern of your partner, which are other factors determining fertility.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
