can ribavirin cause you to act in a manner of agitated behavior and delusion, my brother is a Vietnam vet and experienced battle where children were impaled as young as 2 years old and older. he was charged with a felony agg assualt 15 months ago. he has no memory of the incident. my brother also has been diagnoised with only 3 per cent liver left due to the operation an operation that had Hep C transfusion. could this cause his irregular behavior at the time of the incideent

Yes, manic psychosis is very commonly seen in patients of HCV treated with Ribavirin. Metabolic encephalopathy due to hepatic insufficiency must have added to it. The only remedy is an urgent liver transplant
