Does Intake Of Antibiotics Cause Itchy Vagina?

Hi, a few weeks ago I got a really bad cold that lasted for about 2-3 weeks, so I decided to go to the doctor ans she prescribed amoxicillin saying that the cold might have turned into a small bacterial infection. I was to take the medication twice a day for ten days, yesterday was my last day on the medication, however, about 3 days ago I started to feel my vagina to be itchy. It is not bad, since I forget about it through out the day but it is bothersome. Should I go back to the doctor? or will it go away since I am not on the antibiotics anymore?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to yeast infection caused by intake of antibiotic. You can apply anti fungal agents like clotrimazole or miconazole cream ( monistat ) for local application for this. You can use this for 1 week. Using intimate wash daily is also good.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
