Does Intake Of Diabetic Medication Harm The Kidney?

I am a diabetic patient and I am 52 years Old. I am using Glycomate 1000 twice a day . Also Zeta plus after breakfast and Rozucar 5 after dinner. My creatines shows 1.4 and test range normal shows highest as 1.4 My question is, how long my kidney can remain normal specially I have seen that for last many many years, my Creatinine always shows last normal parameter only. I also hard that glycomate 1000 harms Kidney if taken more than 2000 mg a day.Is it safe medicine for Kidney? Interestingly, after I have started taking Zeta plus, my fasting slowly started coming down from 107 to now 84 and I observe that every month, it is coming down by 4 points roughly.

Hello,

Antidiabetic medicines do not harm the kidneys. Actually uncontrolled diabetes is the one that will cause damage to the kidney.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
