Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello sir,
It could not be any medications that is causing the above symptoms but the diabetes itself can cause such complications especially in poorly controlled patients. I would recommend you to get your glycemic tests done and maintain a tight control over your blood glucose levels. This will help a long way in reversing or stopping the progression of above symptoms.
Dizziness and discomfort when you get up from sitting position is most probably due to a condition called autonomic neuropathy that causes orthostatic hypotension. This is a complication of long standing often poorly controlled diabetes. You could be offered any of the below options after a thorough examination.
1) Physical and lifestyle modifications to reduce the symptoms like getting up slowly, use of stockings in the lower limbs and others.
2) Medications that prevents the development of hypotension like fludrocortisone.
You can discuss the above options with your diabetologist and decide depending upon the severity. Hope the above information helps. Thanks.
