Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Intake Of Multiple Medications Cause Severe Nosebleed?
Experienced severe nosebleed that sent me to ER. Never had a nosebleed before; active intense bleeding for at least 45 minutes to an hour. Blood was very thin, bright red, and pouring rapidly. EMT and EE kept asking if I took a blood thinner; answer is no. Could other meds act as blood thinners? Take bupropion, cymbalta, and gabapentin, dexilant and amitryptiline.
Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. As per your history the cause of bleeding has many points so follow:- 1)Do a clinical check up by an ENT doctor and he will visualize in detail your nasal passage 2)Do liver function test,CBC,ANCA ,Monoclonal antibody assays 3)Ultrasound to ruled out bile duct obstruction
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best. Thanks
