Does Intake Of Synthetic T4 Hormone Aggravate Hashimoto S Thyroiditis?

I ve got hashimoto s hypothryoid, recently identified. I m suspecting that it may be gluten that triggers my autoimmune system. If the root cause is the gluten (meaning gluten s and thyroid s molecular structures are similar), will taking synthetic T4 hormone further aggravate the autoimmune system? Is it the T4 molecule that is similar to glutenin or the thyroid tissue?

Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I read carefully your query and I understand your concern.
You are diagnosed for Hashimoto hypothyroidism, this mean that the autoimmune inflammation caused a under function of your thyroid gland expressed in decreasing the level of hormones released at blood, this hormones are T4 and T3, because of this you need a synthetic T4 hormonal replacements to avoid the symptoms of hypothyroidism that are: weight gain, constipation, feeling cold, elevate lipid blood level, feeling tired, etc.
Gluten is a protein found in grains, has no connection with synthetic T4 hormone.
You should take T4 synthetic hormone for not having hypothyroidism signs and also you should take a gluten free diet for don’t aggravate your autoimmune system that caused Hashimoto thyroiditis.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
