Does Itchy Rashes On Buttocks Indicate HPV?

Hello. I am a 17 year old sexually active female. 2 days ago after slight itching, I noticed a small unraised rash between my buttcheeks. It is not itchy. Nor is it painful unless rubbed. I ve been using hydrocortisone cream on it and that seems to have been working. I ve also noticed some pain before and after urination. My question is, is it herpes!? I ve been very concerned about this. I have no blisters, nor is the rash on my actual anus, vaginal area, or mouth. Nor is it itchy. I ve still been very concerned. Please help.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Herpes infection would manifest with vesicles containing clear fluid which within a day or two goes for ulceration. Unraised rash over your buttock area might be due to some skin condition unrelated to sexual activity or due to close skin to skin contact.( an early fungal infection). HPV also rare over buttock apart from peri-anal area. Those are likely to occur if you had anal sex with your partner.Get examined by a Dermatologist, he/she will be able to diagnose and treat you completely. It would not be anything serious. Get well soon
