Does Lack Of Sleep Cause Nauseousness?

I am in Vet school and I had a test. I woke up early today to study and when I woke up i immediately felt nauseous and threw up. Could this be due to lack of sleep (i had only about 4 hours of sleep). I also felt nauseous earlier this week when I had about 6 hours of sleep and dry heaved immediately after waking up.
