Does Lack Of Sleep Effect Growth And Development?

Erm hello, i am 16 this year and i have been sleeping for around 8 hour for every 24 hours awake on average. Will i suffer brain damage or other health problems? I am already easily the shortest guy in college now with the height of 164cm, does lack of sleep cause this to happen too?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I can understand. An adult or a teen aged person is supposed to get 6 to 8 hours sleep every day to maintain his health. The sleep can even be achieved by short periodic naps. In your case, you are getting enough sleep and therefore, there is no need to worry. I suggest you to exercise daily to keep your good health. Keep yourself away from unnecessary obsessions like this. Take care.

If you still need my assistance in this regard, please use this link. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Please remember to describe the whole problem with full detail.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
