Does Laparoscopy For Endometriosis Causing Bruising Require More Rest?

I had a laparoscopy for endometriosis 6 days ago , i had a reaction to co-codamol so i had to stop taking them. My bruising is coming out more now but my stiches havent disolved at all. Im due to return to work tomorrow but i have a job where i stand on my feet 4-5 hours a day without a break. Im wondering whether its a good idea to go back yet considering im not sleeping because im that uncomfortable.
