Does Lead Poisoning Cause Black Tongue?
I have a friend who is 31 years old. her blood levels are off like platelet, c, mch, mchc, rdw,wbc,hemoglobin,hemocrat. she started with black tongue ad black spots on her body. I read that most of these are caused by ITP and that is what her dr is suggesting. I read though that lead posioning can cause some of the levels to be off. we live in a country with no lead regulations. what i am wondering is could lead posioning cause ITP?

blackening of the tongue can be caused by various reasons all having abnormality in the blood.
lead poisoning is the most common of them.
do get blood investigations done.
if it is ITP, platelet counts will be affected
