Does Litium For Bipolar Disorder Cause Sleeplessness?
my friend was prescribed litium for his bipolar disorder and says he on average gets about four hours asleep a night . Is this normal and couldnt this be more harmful than good , I was taught that we should get at least an average of eight hours a night.
In bipolar disorder, due to manic episode, sleep diseases. In that case, he needs either sedative antipsychotic or benzodiazepine. Sleep is important in his case. If he does not get sleep, then, his improvement could be delayed. Better to consult a psychiatrist for his dose adjustment. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
Thanks
