Does Liver Cirrhosis Cause Pain In The Hips And Knees?

Hello. Right now I am suffering from cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatitis, anxiety, and possible liver cancer.. Since being diagnosed, my joints in my shoulders, hands, and most of all my hips and knees are making it extremely painful to get up from bed or the floor, go up and down steps, and almost anything mobile. It loosens up after moving for a good while, but as soon as activity stops, they all stiffen up again. My hips and knees are the most painful. Could it be from the cirrhosis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible to be cirrhosis if the cause is hepatitis c. It seems like arthritis. I suggest you make an X-ray, and a consult with Rheumatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
