Does Long Term Exposure To Cold Cause Kidney Pain?

our house is 40 to 55* F. we have to do 20 to 30 min trips outside to do farm chores, cut wood etc. We try to huddle by the stove as much as possible. We have lots of clothes, change shoes often. I ve lost 15 lb in 2 mo. but increased my calorie intake. I m 57yr old, 5 5 200 lb now. I ve had several almost frost bite, even a couple times a day. Can my kidney pain on rt side be long term cold exposure?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* There is no direct concern of long term cold exposure with single side kidney pain, though there may be secondary to renal calculus - hydronephrosis from various reasons - others.
I recommend to consult your physician and get evaluated with basic lab tests and ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis for best guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query.
