Does Long Term Usage Of Valace-OD Cause Any Side Effects?

Sir ,Doctor prescribed me valence-od 4 month back , after taking for a week i stopped taking it as after i start feeling fine, but now again when i gone to the shop to but it since i feel need of it, shopkeep told me that if i will start this medicine i have to use it for lifetime.....is its right..

Hello dear user, thanks for consulting Healthcaremagic and sharing your concerns, I think the treatment duration depends how your body responds and how much the symptoms improved, the use of Valance-OD or Dapakote( long term) have many undesirable side effects but taking the right doses under medical supervision it's not harmful, anyway the severity of symptoms can vary considerably from person to person, don't be afraid your doctor may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects ( readjust doses or choosing a similar drugs) take care
