Hello,
If you are already 20 days over due and your pregnancy test is negative then for sure you are not pregnant.
Progesterone deficiency or luteal phase defect can cause intermenstrual spotting or breakthrough bleeding but not amenorrhoea.

If you are having signs and symptoms of pregnancy which mimic the same as that of premenstrual syndrome then you may opt to wait for 3 days nad then can opt for withdrawal bleed with progesterones like MPA ( medroxy progesterone acetate) 10mg twice a day for 5 days. you may then wait for another 7 days and your periods would resume within 7 days.

Also to confirm progesterone deficiency get a midcycle serum progestrone test done to confirm the diagnosis.
regards.
