Does Lumbar Compression Fracture Cause Shortness Of Breath?
fell off my horse 5 months ago. went to urgent care, they took xrays and said nothing was broken. starting seeing a chiropractor, which relieved the pain and he took xrays. I have a compression fracture (L1). I am due to see a surgeon Friday. my questions is: can this type of injury cause shortness of breath and extremely exhaustion?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. No, compression fracture of lumber vertebra can not cause breathlessness and exhaustion. In my opinion, you should consult pulmonologist for these symptoms to rule out bronchitis. You may need PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to diagnose bronchitis. You will mostly improve with inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
