Does Mahacef And Zerodol Cause Side Effects To My 7 Month Old Baby?

Hi doc, i am a young mother of a 7 month baby.. i went to the doctor last week for lumps in my breast. she prescribed me mahacef xl 200, zerodol sp and rantac 150mg.. i have consumed these tablets for 5 days twice daily.. my lumps are clear but my baby has been suffering loose motions since over a week. greenish watery stools.. is it bcoz of the side effects of these medicines..

Hello,
Your doctor had prescribed you an antibiotic i.e. Cefixime,a pain killer and ranitidine. Cefixime belongs to class of cephalosporins. Generally cephalosporins dont have excretion in the breast milk.So there are less likely chances that loose motions are because of that medicine.And also other two medicines you were taking doesnt affect your baby.
My suggestion is consult a pediatrician to know the cause of loose motions in your baby as it might be due to some infections.
