Does Masturbation Cause Vaginal Bleeding?

I was on the pill for year and I have taken a break from it. So last week my period came and lasted 5 days. Then I had a 3 day break. Last night when I was masterbating I think i broke my hymen again. Im bleeding so heavy today (every hr to change sanitary towel) and have stomach cramps. Is this normal I bled when I lost my virginity but not in years and had sex mon and no effect . Wondering I d this an effect of masterbating or of coming off pill

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It doesn't seem to be related to masturbation. It can bleeding due to hormonal pill. However to determine exact cause pelvic examination need to be done. Now you don't have any bleeding according to provided history. So don't worry about that episode.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
