Does Medication Cause Any Harm In Pregnancy?

hello doctor.. i m 28 yrs old, i didnot have periods for the last 4 months. i have been prescribed primolut-nor 10mg two times daily for 5days and metformin 500mg 2 times for 60 days. is it alright to take these medications? will i have any diffculty in conceiving?

Hi,welcome to healthcare magic forum.I understand your query.TAb-PRIMOLUT-NOR 5mg is a type of progesterone,which is mainly given in care of irregular bleeding,premenstrual complains,primary & secondary amenorrhea etc.As you did not get your period since 4 months so you are having secondary amenorrhea.For that only you have been prescribed this tablet.There is no harm in taking these two medicines but better be in regular consult with your doctor,as you need to be monitored regularly for pregnancy because as soon as you will get to know that you have conceived you should have to stop this medicine.Till then continue the instructions given by your doctor.Take Care.
