Does Medication For Myalgia Cause Swollen Ankles With Difficult Urination?

My daughter 27 has malgia and nerve pain due to horrific car accident. Suddenly has swelling in feet ankes and no calf. She is having a difficult urinating. Now color of skin is changing. She went to urgent care and they told her it was her medication. This seems more serious than that to me.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Detailed evaluation is required to find out the cause. Drug reaction and DVT can cause similar symptoms. A venous Doppler will be more useful in this scenario. Consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
