Does Medication For Stomach Problem Cause Chapped Lips?

My lips are severly chapped. Very painful. I had a weeklong bout of stomach issues & got really dehydrated. I'm about back to normal, but the lips aren't healing. I'm using a Blistex medicated balm. This has always worked within a day or 2, but the lips have been like this for almost 2 weeks AFTER the illness was over. I'm 52 & nothing else is wrong.

Thank you for using HCM

You should use a steroid antibiotic combination cream such as fusidic acid with betamethasone twice a day for a week and continue applying the balm over the lips.
Drink lots of fluids
