Does Medication For Yeast Overgrowth Cause Low Heart Beat Rates?

Hi. I ve been taking Itraconazole for 3 weeks now for a diagnosed yeast overgrowth. I have been getting very dizzy every time i stand and finally took my pulse and it s 44 when sitting. It does go up to a more normal 70 when I stand up. Should I stop taking the medication?

Hi,

Itraconazole or other anti-fungals does not mess with your heart and does not cause any alterations in heart rate. If the heart rate is persistently low, you can consult a cardiologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
