Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.
Milk thistle have some role in improving liver function tests however only in few studies. However if we talk about evidence there is nothing. So I usually dont advise milk thistle to my patients
Since your weight is high and your BMI is high 33. The reason for derranged liver enzymes can be due to Obesity. So I will suggest you few medicines which I found very useful in my patients are ursodeoxycholic acid and vitamin E. Do regular exercise and reduce your weight, avoid alcohol if you drink. However there are many other causes for derranged liver enzymes like hepatitis C, autoimmune liver disease, so get the tests for these to rule out these disease.
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you . Wish you a good health
