Is there a possibility that a minimal ptb will left no scar at all? I got this minimal ptb 2 weeks ago and im afraid to not work abroad because of this. Because as I have read from the Internet that even it is treated. People with this disease can no longer work abroad. Today I just wish that in my next xray exam there will be no scar on my lungs.
Thanks for your question on HCM. Any lung insult whether TB or pneumonia or trauma can cause healing after treatment. And healing can occur by 1. Fibrosis 2. Calcification 3. Rarely complete resolution. So possibility of scar tissue is high if you have tb infection. But no need to worry for this, for future abroad plan. At present complete the course for your tb. And in future when you apply for visa just consult pulmonologist and get done CT THORAX and Bronchoscopy with BAL ( Broncho Alveolar Lavage ) analysis for TB. If both are negative then even with scar tissue you can go abroad. By these tests you can prove yourself for not having active infectious tb. So no need to worry much at present. Just finish your treatment.
