Hi, Thanks for posting your query

Mintop contains minoxidil, which is primarily a hypertensive agent.
When used topically it dilates the blood vesels hence increases the blood supply to the scalp.
secondly it converts fine hair to coarse hair , so it is used in hair fall

in your case the hair fall can be either Telogen effluvium which is self limiting or andrgenic alopecia, which has a heriditary predisposition.

You should get yourself examined by your trichologist to know the type of alopecia and the stage
and other medications as only minoxidil may not help

Hope this answers your query

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Mintop (minoxidil) is a drug that slows and reduces hair loss and also promotes regeneration of the hair follicles, and thus encourages hair growth.

So yes ma'am, it is good for both hair loss as well as hair growth.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.

Yes Mintop is a clinically proven product, it is more effective in preventing hair-loss than it is in making hair grow back. The sooner one uses it also helps as opposed to already having been bald for a period. I usually combine it with oral Finasteride 1mg daily.
