Does Mirena Insertion Cause Severe Pelvic Pain?

I had the Mirena inserted in March and in the last week i have been experiencing severe pelvic pain. I went to the emergency room and the did blood tests and a CT scan but said i was fine and sent me on my way. Is it possible that my mirena is causing this?

Mirena can cause pelvic pain as a side effect. The symptoms will relieve gradually. Meanwhile,I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using warm compresses for local application.
