Does Miseprin Kit Has Any Side Effects And How To Use It?

hi, i missed my days n the very missed date i tested my pregnancy at home itself and the result was positive. Since, i dont want a baby now, i consulted my doctor and she advised to take miseprin kit. Could u plz advise the usage and also if it has any bad effects in future?

Abortion pill should be used under the guidance and observation of gynecologist after confirming the intrauterine pregnancy of less than 9 week by USG scan. Avoid home use as it causes serious complication in some cases like excessive and prolonged bleeding, abnormal development of fetus in case of failure, excessive cramp that require emergency treatment. Mifepristone 600 mg orally after meal should be followed by 800 ug misoprostol vaginally/orally after 24 hour. Extra dose should be needed in some case that should be take under supervision of gynecologist. Bleeding and cramp start after 20-30 minutes of taking last pill. And whole abortion process will complete in 4-5 days.
It causes minor side effects like: bleeding with tissue and blood clots just more than period, cramps, headache, tiredness, fever, lethargy, risk of vaginal or pelvic infection.
It does not affect the future pregnancy. But repeated use can affect the pregnancy.
Post abortion advice: usg after 14 days, rest for 24 hour, analgesic, proper diet with iron supplements, maintain pelvic hygiene and check for foul smelling to prevent infection, use safe sex practice to avoid unwanted pregnancy and stress in future
