Does Missed Periods And Uti Occur Together?

I am 28, I am 5 ft. 3 1/2 inchs. , weighed 147 lbs as of this morning. I have a Mirena IUD that I have had since Jan. 2010. I have not had a mentrual since the last week of April, and I recently visited the doctor for a supsected UTI. I was not told how the test result come out, but they did give me a few days antibiotics. Is the missed period and the UTI occurring together a coincidence?
