Does Moderate Cramping Indicate A Degenerating Fibroid Or Spreading Of Cancer?

Hi, i have cervical cancer and the current ct scan showed a mass at the base of my uterus...mri as well...the question is whether a fibroid (have had them for years) is degenerating or if cancer is spreading...the ct scan was on 12/12/16...i have been having mild to moderate cramping, more so over the past week...could it be still from a degenerating fibroid?

Hi.

A fibroid can change in size and shape during a females reproductive cycle due to the hormonal dependance, but once the female reaches menopause the size of the fibroid can reduce because fibroids are hormone dependant.

As for the cancer, there is a chance that the cancer can spread, but I cannot really tell without an elaborate evaluation of your tests and reports.

Best wishes.
