Does Multiseptated Pelvic Cyst With Suspected Ovarian Neoplasm Require Surgery?

I recently had an ultrasound because of chronic renal failure. There was a large multiseptated cyst in the pelvis and report stated it would be suspicious for a large ovarian neoplasm, further evaluation recommended. I am 64 years old, however, I have had no pain from this and would not have known if not for the ultrasound. Is surgery mandatory?

Hello.
Thank you for your question.
Please consult gynecologist urgently.
Mostly ovarian cancer don't cause any pain .
Now as your ultrasound has shown cyst ,you need to undergo further evaluation with blood test like CA 125, HE 4, ROMA index.
