Does My X Ray Result Indicate TB?

Hi, i am about to travel to UK and in the course i have to take X-ray and PPD tests. My X-ray findings shows that i have Calcified granuloma(small) and no active deseas. My PPD result is positive(Induratio is 12mm). I do not have any symptems of TB. I consulted a Chest Physician and he tolde me not to worry as there is no active TB. Please advise me whether my test results indicates i have TB?

Welcome to Health care magic.

1.Presence of the calcified granulomas means - old healed tuberculosis / infective disease they leave a calcified granulomas after healing.
2.This granulomas can be seen for decades.
3.Induration positive will not indicate the activeness of the disease - it will show positive even in the dormant stage.
4.X-ray finding will be there in presence of active disease. Sputum examination will be definitive for pulmonary tuberculosis.
5.Dont worry you don't have any TB, Try keeping good immunity. Good luck.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
