Does My Condition Need Caesarean For Safe Delivery?
HI, MY DAUGHTER IS 38 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH HER 6 TH CHILD AND SHE IS 42 YRS OLD AND SHE HAS CHIARI MALFORMATION SHE WAS TOLD BY HER NEURO SURG. THAT SHE NEEDED TO TELL HER OB DOCTOR OF HER CONDITION SO THEY COULD ARRANGE HER TO HAVE A CAESAREAN BECAUSE THE PRESSURE THE LABOR COULD CAUSE ON HER BRAIN COULD RUPTURE THE BASE OF HER BRAIN WHERE SHE HAS NO SKULL FROM HER BRAIN SURG. AND THAT WILL KILL HER SO SHE TELLS THE OB DOCTOR AND SHE SAYS NO YOU DONT NEED A CAESAREAN BECAUSE THAT PRESSURE CAN NOT KILL YOU. ALSO SHE GOT THE COPIES OF HER OB FILE AND NO PLACE IN THOSE RECORDS DID SHE EVEN MENTION HER CONDITION.THE OB DR ADMITTED SHE NEVER HEARD OF THAT CONDITION SO IT CAN NOT BE THAT BIG OF A PROBLEM. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO HELP MY DAUGHTER NOT HAVE TO DIE TO GIVE BIRTH TO THIS BABY?
