Does Myosysnthesis Gravis Cause Poor Vision With Drooping Eye Lids?

I am trying to track down the disease/condition my grandfather had. He had poor vision and had to hold his eyelids open. He usually wore a green visor. I think it was something like myosysnthesis gravis, but I was just a kid at the time. Does this ring any bells?
