Does Nexplanon Cause White Milky And Paste Like Vaginal Discharge?

Does NEXPLANON cause white milky and paste like vaginal discharge? Since December 5, 2012 I had the Nexplanon on my arm. Within three months ( after my daughter was born and the healing process was over) I been having a white discharge. Went to my ob/gyn and they did a pat smear. Said it was BV. Take. My medications as directed, drank plenty of water and after just two days from finishing the medicine I had the discharge again. So I went back to my ob/gyn and they order me 4 refill of the metronidazole 500 mg, also 4 refill for the cream to use twice a day with the pills and 4 refill for fluconazole in case I get yeast from the antibiotics. And I m still getting this milky sometimes pasty discharge. I was tested again and they found nothing and just order me to use the meds JUST IN CASE. And it doesn t smell, I remember BV smells bad and this discharge have no smell. I m not sexual active because of this problem, I m to embarrass.

Hello,

The symptoms are consistent with a yeast infection. As of now, you can use clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals.

Maintain good personal hygiene. Consult a gynecologist and get a vaginal swab done and start antibiotics.
