Does Nicotine Effect A Lipid Profile Test Report?

I take a cholesterol test, lipid and tryglyceride test tomorrow and I must fast. But I only quit smoking 4 days ago and doing well. Should I wait three weeks before taking these tests as it may still alter my results, or am I good after just a few days off?

Hello,

For cholesterol reports, fasting required. It is not related to smoking. So if you had done fasting of eight hours last night, then you can investigate for cholesterol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Parth Goswami
