Does Nicotine Show Up On Strep Test?
I am 15 years old, I weigh 130 pounds, I am 5 7. I have been very sick for the past couple of days and I think i may have strep. But also I smoked a cigarrette 2 days ago. I dont usually do that and it wasnt that much but I am going to the doctor today. Does Nicotine show up on strep tests?

Dear nicotine usually tested with saliva nicotine half life just 2hours, but it breakdown by salivary enzymes and form cotinin. Cotinin half life, 20hours. Cotinin test used in saliva helpful. But for you they are testing throat swab for streptococcus not for nicotine and so don't worry nothing will happen.
