Does No Bleeding After Sex Mean My Girlfriend Is Still A Virgin ?

My girlfriend and I have tried to have sex a few times but we haven t been able to because it hurt her too much. I barely entered her, it hurt her a lot and she never bled... Would she be considered a virgin after a medical exam (which I assume examinates the rupture or non rupture of the hymen)?

If a medical examination shows an intact hymen then she would be considered a 'virgin'.
