Does Nostril Size Increase On Picking Nose?

Hi! I have bin picking in my nose since I was little, and my nostrils are really streched. My right nostril is bigger then the left and it makes me have very bad confidence. If I stop picking, will my nostrils go back to normal? Do you know any way to make your nostrils smaller??

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.


Nostrils are made up of cartilages, which can be damaged and go for stenosis in case of continous nasal picking.


nasal picking can not increase the size of nostril. diameter of nostril can be altered by plastic surgery.

If your in low confidence, visit a plastic surgeon, for the evaluation and treatment.
